It’s almost time for our annual Halloween parade and celebration. We will celebrate Halloween on October 31st. We are planning several fun activities to celebrate. Students will be doing a “pop-n-paint” activity. Please send an old t-shirt for students to put over their clothes so that they do not get paint on their school clothes.
The parade will start at 8:30 a.m. Students will start the parade by exiting out the front doors of the building. They will head south down Poplar and then head west on Avenue E. As they reach the end of Avenue E they will turn North down Walnut and finish heading East down the alley and back into the school at the north doors. Please feel free to join us by parking on the opposite side of the street and maintaining safe distance from our students.
Please send your student dressed in costume and ready for the parade. Weapons, blood, and gore will not be allowed. We also ask that all costumes follow the dress code. Students will be asked to change back into regular school clothes after the morning activities so make sure your child has a change of clothes in their backpack.
Attendance will still be taken at 8:10 so it is important that your child(ren) is at school on time and in their classroom by 8:00. We are looking forward to a fun day!
Friday Oct. 13 is our big day!!!! Please make sure that your child dresses warmly. The temperature is only supposed to be 59, windy and cloudy for the day.

“GRANDPARENT’S DINNER”
We are pleased to announce that our annual Grandparent’s Day Dinner will be served on Tuesday, Nov. 21. Our PTC sponsors this dinner and it is a pleasure to have so many grandparents come to eat lunch with their grandchildren. Because this is such a popular event, we ask that only grandparents attend with their grandson or granddaughter. Any other visitors who are assisting the grandparents will need to pay $4.35 per meal and attach the exact amount to the bottom slip. The dinner will again be served in the cafeteria and we will begin serving Kindergarten at 10:30. Listed below is an approximate time schedule for serving:

Reservations are MANDATORY so we may prepare enough food. Please return the reservation slip (one form per family) by Thursday Oct. 19, 2023 , if your child’s grandparents plan to eat.

Don't forget tomorrow Oct. 4 is Walk to School Day!!! Students need to be at the police station back parking lot by 7:15 am. All students, staff and community members will begin walking at 7:20 am. If you come after 7:20 am please take your child directly to the school. Thank you

We are having a lot of students who are using their cell phones at morning supervision. Cell phones need to be shut off and put in bags when they come into the school. Please visit with your SHE student about this. Thanks
